Thursday 26th August 2010, 20:00
The Tinos Jazz Festival 2010 (26-29/8) will open at 8 pm with a welcoming address, a presentation of our sponsors and of our website www.tinosjazz.com, and screening of Marineta MAK Kritikou's documentary film “Tinos Jazz Festival 2009. The Start” (54 minutes). After the opening, the festival's first night will feature TRIOISM, DIMITRIS TSAKAS QUARTET and CUBANA BOP (see details on www.tinosjazz.com).

Thursday 19th August 2010, 20:30
“Writers in Tinos”. Literary evening dedicated to the work of writers from Tinos or long-term friends of the island including Giorgos Alvertis, Pantelis Apergis, Giannis Kakoulidis, Stelios Kornaros, Xenofon Brountzakis, Dinos Siotis and Alekos Florakis. Musical interludes will be performed by Mema Eirinaiou-Tzanoulinou on the piano and Vania Papadimitriou on the cello. Foreword by Themis Rodamitis. This event will round off the 1st International Literary Festival of Tinos; it will be held at the Cultural Foundation of Tinos, within the 10th edition of the Exombourgo Festival in Tinos.

Giouli Tsirou (song) and Panagiotis Papageorgiou (piano), interpreting songs by acclaimed Greek composers (Theodorakis, Chatzidakis, Plessas and others) in 5 different languages, as well as well known songs of great international singers (as Edith Piaf, Marlene Dietrich, Barbara Streisand). Organized in partnership with the Municipality of Tinos.

“Four hands Piano Recital” with Maria Kanatsouli-Papadiamanti and Stavroula Papadiamanti, featuring works by Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak & Franz Liszt. Organized in partnership with the Municipality of Tinos.

Saturday 7th August, 21:00
“The Tinos Fellowship encounters Alkinoos Ioannidis”. Alkinoos Ioannidis, an artist with a distinctive voice and popular compositions is stepping to the Tinian stage with his guitar in hand, ready to meet up his friends.The concert will include songs from his personal discography, as well as some surprises – even for the artist himself, as stage performances often allow for spontaneous developments and improvisation and interaction with the audience, but also to open up to unexplored songs. Organized by the “Tinos Fellowship” in partnership with the Cultural Foundation of Tinos.

29th to 31st July 2010, 20:30
28 writers from 18 countries will take part in this festival. Musicians and dancers from Tinos will also provide material for this multinational and multicultural festival, making it more than just a literary event. The opening event, on 29th July (at the Cultural Foundation of Tinos) will feature 9 writers who will read extracts from their work and talk about literature in their respective country. The Cultural Foundation of Tinos is organizing Summer Jazz Masterclasses in partnership with the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. Masterclasses will be held from 13th to 18th July 2010 within the Cultural Foundation premises in Tinos; they be run by leading Dutch and Greek Jazz educators.  more

The last night of the Tinos Jazz Festival 2009 begins with the NUKeLEUS trio and to round off the festival, all musicians will get together for a Jam night led by NUKeLEUS trio’s Rhythm Section more

The Cultural Foundation of Tinos is proud to present the first edition of the Tinos Jazz Festival, featuring outstanding Greek and internationally renowned musicians, with Finland as the honoured guest country. The Municipality of Tinos, the Cultural Foundation of Tinos and the “Tinos Fellowship” present the Mozart Quartett Salzburg and the Greek clarinetist Dionysis Grammenos within the annual classical music consert at the Cultural Foundation of Tinos. The programme features pieches by Motzart and Brahms.

GIANNOULIS CHALEPAS IN THE CULTURAL FOUNDATION OF TINOS. The Cultural Foundation of Tinos (I.TI.P.) organised the most complited exhibition of Giannoulis Chalepas sculptures. The Panhellenic Holy Foundation of the Evangelistria in Tinos has conceded on loan for permanent exhibition in I.TI.P. the 22 sculptures by Giannoulis Chalepas, which are part of the collections in its Museum of Tinian Artists. The opening ceremony took place on 15 of July 2005 in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Karolos Papoulias. more
